The Celebrate Success Awards 2026 took place on Wednesday 6th May in the Students' Union. This annual celebration is held for the incredible student groups and volunteers of UPSU and is an opportunity to recognise them on an individual basis for their hard work and determination across the academic year.
We wanted to send a massive thank you to anyone who nominated in the Celebrate Success Awards and for taking the time to show your appreciation for your student group committee. We also want to send a huge well done to everyone who received a nomination.

But not only this, Hannah liaised with other clubs to set up skill swaps and socials to ensure their members have had a wide variety of opportunities throughout the year.”
Society Chair of the Year - Saif Baig DentSoc
“Saif’s peers have stated how proud they are of them as a role model and chairperson going as far as to say that they have ‘have elevated the standard of what a chair/ president should be like in the dental society- which might be tricky to live up to!’ "
Sports Club Treasurer of the Year - Samuel Martin Athletics
“Samuel has helped UPAC to attain a legal agreement with the hiring company to ensure prices do not keep increasing and has spoken with local contacts to make sure athletics is not being outpriced in Plymouth.”

“Members have talked about Katie’s willingness to help other people and often go to her if they are unsure of anything related to the society. This has ranged from providing details for events, to researching accessible routes for members who struggle more-so with movement.”
Sports Club Secretary of the Year - Rebecca Newland Canoe and Kayak
“Rebecca has gone above and beyond in their role as Secretary, taking on a wide range of responsibilities—from organising meetings to planning trips and events. They have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, managing bookings, liaising with external partners, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.”
