In line with Government Covid-19 guidance we have made changes to our spaces for the safety of our students


The SU Building

Located in the heart of campus (opposite the library), the SU building is home to the majority of our services. Inside the SU building you’ll find:

  • Advice Centre (currently offering remote/virtual advice)
  • The Hive
  • Bar
  • Kitchen
  • The Lounge (proud to serve Costa Coffee)
  • Shop

The Hive

Located in the SU building, at the South Entrance (nearest to the city centre), the Hive is your central hub for student information.

Inside the Hive you’ll find your Sabbatical Officers as well as the Representation, Sport Clubs, Societies and Volunteering teams.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, for the safety of our students and staff, access to the Hive will be on an appointment only basis.

The Little Room (Community Space)

The Little Room (formerly known as Illusion) is an informal community space inside the heart of the SU.

If you’re looking for a space for your student group to get together for an event, meeting or just to hang out you are now able to book this room via the link below. The Lounge (Costa)

At the north entrance of the SU, we have our very own coffee shop (proud to serve Costa Coffee) offering a wide range of hot and cold drinks. Plus you can grab a bite to eat, either eat in or takeaway all at value for money prices in a safe comfortable environment for you to relax and enjoy.

The Bar

Your SU Bar offers a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, at value for money prices, as well as food from our newly renovated kitchen.

We are proud to be a part of Best Bar None. This is a accreditation scheme with National Awards supported by the Home Office and the drinks industry which is aimed primarily at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises. We are rated NUS Best Bar None Gold and Best Bar None Plymouth

The SU Gym

The SU Gym located on campus provides a range of activities to assist you in achieving your fitness goals.

From the 50 station gym, squash courts, multi- purpose sports hall, dance studio and the sports injuries clinic, the team can offer a host of facilities which can be utilised by students, staff and members of the public.

Your safety is our number one priority and therefore we've introduced some COVID-19 safety measures in the SU Gym. Watch the video below to find out more and contact us on Facebook if you have any questions.

The SU Shop

Your handy little campus shop is located right in the centre of campus, directly opposite the library, and offers you everything you need from a quick (but delicious) lunch on the go to clothing, accessories and household products.

Your SU Shop gives you value for money products and are the only retailer of official University of Plymouth merchandise. By spending money at the SU you are helping students like you have a better time at Uni.
