Give It A Go – Sports is a variety of different sport activities that all students can take part in at Plymouth University, which doesn’t break the bank! Whether ‘sporty’ or not, the sessions welcome all levels of fitness and abilities and offer a wide range of choice from squash coaching and volleyball to horse riding and cheerleading.
The majority of the GIAG sessions are turn up and play, so all you need to do is arrive to your chosen activity a few minutes before it is due to start, pay the small fee and then take part! Any activity that requires participants to book, will always state to do so on the timetable and any promotional material.
The Give it a Go programme provides plenty of ways to try new activities, meet new people and learn new skills at affordable prices. The flexible Give it a Go programme works on a pay as you go basis and is a great way to discover new hobbies and interests. Some sessions are supported by societies and will provide an insight into what they do.
How to get involved
For the majority of the activities held on campus booking is not essential, turn up 5 minutes before the session and join in. Some activities require payment in advance. No membership is required. All abilities are welcome, no experience is needed and equipment is provided
Further opportunities include gaining experience in coaching and leading, volunteering and partnership working with the local community.
