Plymouth RAG (Raise and Give) held their annual Take Me Out event in the SU last week, which was a huge success with almost 200 people in the audience. They reached capacity quickly, and the show was extremely entertaining!
There were several rounds and at the end of the night as many as 7 couples left together with vouchers for dinner-dates. The atmosphere was light and the audience was laughing and participating in the show, everybody seemed to have a great time.
The event was organised with the help from the University of Plymouth Amateur Dramatics, and ended up raising a massive grand total of £560 for their elected charities: Sense, Coppafeel and Ocean Conservation Trust.
Lily and Freya from the RAG events team were according to RAG "amazing co-hosts and did a great job engaging the audience." This is what Freya had to say about the experience:
"This event was so exciting to host and I am so proud of how it turned out! The audience and the participants were so interactive which made the event so much fun!"
- Freya Pretty (RAG events coordinator)
The next event is the Live Fight Night together with the Boxing Club and they hope to bring the success from this event into their planning and organisation to make the next event as much fun as their last one.
Here is what people had to say about the event:
"The hard work and teamwork in preparation of this event really shone through and made the event so entertaining and fun"
- Tove-Kjerstin Vea (RAG president)
"I didn't know what to expect from this event, but I was positively surprised by how funny and entertaining it was!"
- Tonje Sund (Audience - RAG member)
