Come and join the Badminton club at the University of Plymouth!

We aim to create an all-inclusive environment for all abilities, so if you've only just picked up a racket or looking for some competitive matches, everyone is welcome! Our friendly committee work on providing a relaxed and social club that gives all our members a fun and safe place to meet new people and enjoy a game of badminton. Whether you're a keen sportsman looking to join the team and get some practice in a few times a week, or just hoping to join a club, meet new friends and rock up for a social each week, the badminton club is for you!

Looking to play socially? Free taster sessions!!! Thursday 24th September AND Thursday 1st October both 5-6pm

Looking to join our competitive teams? Trials!! Friday 25th September. Starting times: 6:45pm Men’s, 7:45pm Women’s. Must book free spot on events page in advance.

Thursdays 17:00 - 18:00:
- Non-members: £3.50 ( + £1 racket hire in products section)
- Standard members: £1.50
Friday 19:00 - 20:00:
- Standard members: £1.50
- Development members: Free

BUCS: Men's Div 1, Ladies Div 1

Plymouth Local League: 2 Men's teams, 1 Ladies team

Memberships:

Standard membership - £15 per annum

Wednesday 21:00 - 22:00: £1.50
Thursday 17:00 - 18:00: £1.50
Facilities and equipment provided
Cheaper session fees with free racket hire
Eligible to come on tour (last years trip: Prague, Czechia)
Can purchase kit
Open to everyone :)

Development membership - £80 per annum

Friday 19:00 - 20:00: Free (Student-led coaching)
Friday 20:00 - 22:00: pegboard
Play in Plymouth Local League
Can play up into BUCS team for matches if needed with £5 match fee
Eligible to come on tour (last years trip: Prague, Czechia)
Only available to those who attend trials. 8 member limit.

BUCS membership - £150 per annum

Play for the BUCS/league teams
Monday 19:00 - 21:00: ran by external coach Rob Freer with peer-peer coaching
Thursdays 17:00 - 18:00: £1.50 ONLY attend if joining friends
Fridays 19:00 - 20:00: can attend if willing to help coach other students or joining friends not on team/development
Friday 20:00 - 22:00: pegboard/league matches
Yehlex Championship & Premiership shuttles
Kit supplied
Eligible to come on tour (last years trip: Prague, Czechia)
Only available to those who attend trials.
