Raise & Give is a student volunteering group on campus. Every year the student body helps them choose the charities they work with, and throughout the academic year, they host events and fundraising opportunities for their members and other students.
They have hosted a Halloween scavenger hunt, a Great Gatsby ball and a Take me Out event which altogether has raised over £1000 for their chosen charities Sense, Coppafeel and Ocean Conservation Trust. In addition to this, every year they also organise charity adventures, where students can fundraise for a charity throughout the year and then go on the adventure they have chosen.
This year they have the Three Peaks trek (WWF), the Kilimanjaro trek (Meningitis Research Foundation), the Lost City of Colombia trek (Amnesty International) and the London to Paris cycle (Marie Curie).
Before going on these adventures RAG hosts bake sales, bucket collections and other fun and creative fundraising activities for people to take part in.
Their Adventures fundraisers have so far fundraised £11,687 combined for their charities and will continue to fundraise until they are going on their adventure!

As well as this they also have weekly socials and fun activities for people that don't want to do any fundraising.
RAG is a student group that raises money for charity without students having to just do the regular fundraising activities, as their own amazing events team donates the profits from events to charities as well. This is a fun way for students to be involved with charity work and volunteer to the extent they prefer.

RAG is essentially a student group that welcomes all students, with a wide range of activities appealing to a wide range of students. They have board game nights, movie nights, quizzes and other socials on a regular basis, in addition to their bigger events mentioned above. Some of the events hosted by RAG are repeated year after year, such as Take Me Out, while other events are original.
The next event is the Live Fight Night on the 24th of March 2022 which they are so excited to put on!
Every year they will put on new events and adventures, so it is worth looking out for what they are doing next! Also, they are always planning fun stuff for members with an active and creative committee with a wide range of interests and talents that contribute to the success of the events and fundraising.

Raise and Give are looking for next year's committee to help keep the fundraising going at the University of Plymouth. There are multiple roles available and all you need is a passion for helping and fundraising for amazing causes!
