My name is Karlie Evans and I am a final year English student. I have always been enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference and I would love to spend the next year working on improving the experiences of students throughout their time at University. I have been involved with the SU in so many different ways during my time here, and I want to make sure that everyone feels confident and happy enough to join in, whether that be with a society, volunteering or with media.
Being VP Activities means becoming a trustee of the SU, which is a charity. I already work with Breast Cancer Now on a regular basis in London, acting as a member of the Student Fundraising Development Board which aims to increase participation with volunteering nationwide. I am a team leader for the London to Paris cycle which means the welfare of volunteers is a very important factor to me, and being part of the RAG society has given me so much confidence and some of the best memories during my time at University.
If you vote for me, I will ensure that your successes as an individual in any of these areas are recognised. I want to focus on raising awareness, increasing recognition, and making it easier for YOU to personalise what issues the SU focus on as they arise throughout the year. I want everyone to leave University with happy stories and hopefully I can help make these happen.
