Change is simple, it just needs a magic touch!
Hi I’m Will and the only thing crazier than my hair is my level of commitment to the student body.
1. Make information more available
-There is so much happening in the SU and so few know about it! Instead of spamming students with 100 emails we all don’t read anyway, we need one condensed invitation to students to accept or decline and choose their level of involvement. Then we know everything that’s available and can pick what we want to get involved with.
2. Tea/Social Spaces
-We run on one thing; caffeine! Did someone say FREE? All we need are some seating areas in the university with kettles and students can then have space to chill and chat. Especially as 1/3 students don’t drink alcohol at all, they need somewhere to socialise too.
3. Write a motion week
-Not enough students take part in the democratic process so to encourage and celebrate this I will hold a ‘Write a Motion Week’ where everyone is encouraged to write a motion about something they are passionate about and put it up for consideration. We exist for your needs after all!
4. Forums representative
-Forums are coming up for review and with the latest leaps in increasing representation, I will continue to improve upon this system.
5. Gender neutral toilets on campus
-We will have them! This is not up for debate!
