Our club is all about bringing sports together, whether you are a competitive swimmer, recreational swimmer or a water polo player, this is the club for you. Our club takes part in many competitions throughout the academic year including BUCS, Varsity and club fun galas. We also have nights out on a regular basis, ranging from fun drinking socials heading to different clubs and bars to activities and chilled nights out.

We have 2 training sessions a week; throughout the year, for both swimming and water polo where the capatains and experieneced members of the club help run planned sessions. We also have two further pool sessions a week of lane swimming, for swimmers and polo players.

- Swimming: Monday 19:30- 20:30, Thursday 20:30- 22:00

-Water Polo: Monday 20:30- 21:30, Thursday 20:30- 22:30

As of this year we will be starting land training for all members

We like to carry out regular socials (normally with a theme), once every week in first term and once everyother week after that. The sports night out for Plymouth University is a Wednesday evening, where we usually start drinking at a friendly home of a member, then  make our way down to Walkabout, where all the sports teams will be for a great night out. We also like to have quiet socials, sometimes without drinking! This allows every member to interact with each other and have fun doing activities such as bowling or trampolining.

We will be selling tickets to our first White T-Shirt Social on the for £5 in the SU during the week of term. The white t-shirt social is guaranteed to be one of the best nights out  (25th of september) in the whole year! Each year every single sports club does a white t-shirt social... and ours is always a brilliant night out. All you need to do for this social is wear a white t-shirt (stock up in Primark!!!) and enjoy the night. It's £5 to join in and this will give you fun games, alcohol, and drinks deals in a variety of pubs/clubs. For more information, come along to our stall at Sports Fair or email one of the committee members :)

Each year, swimming competes in 2 competitions. Short course BUCS which takes place in November and Long course is held in late February, we also now race at BUCS Team Champs in Sheffield which is a great weekend of racing not to be missed! Water polo also takes part in BUCS competitions, putting forward both male and female teams. The competition takes part during the first semester but more information will be given out at the start of the academic year, if you want any details or having any questions about competitive water polo speak to the male and female catains (Sophie Abrahams, Alex Sanger- Anderson).

Waterpolo compete in Varsity, a competition between Plymouth University and Plymouth Marjon!  As a club we look to carry out as much charity funraising events as possible. A group of us also run the Plymouth Half Marathon each year raising money the clubs chosen charities that year. Members have a chance to get involved with smaller fundraising events like bakesales and charity fun galas. We welcome any fun fundraising ideas for the year ahead.

We look forward to meeting everyone
