UPSC welcomes people of all experience levels from pro surfers supporting our club in the yearly BUCS trials, all the way to those who have never set foot on a board before. Our members are offered the opportunity to progress their surfing with lessons and training sessions, as well as day and weekend trips to spots in Cornwall and Devon. The club is a great place to meet like minded individuals and share the surfing stoke.
UPSC provides plenty of social activities in addition to surfing opportunities, ranging from fun themed nights out (think fancy dress and pub nights) to chilled out surf film nights and beach day trips. We like to keep the socials varied and fun with our two social secs this year committed to keep the socials going all year long and keeping members engaged.
UPSC has numerous events throughout the year to keep a look out for, the first being our fresher surf taster session in Newquay, followed by the legendary BUCS weekend in October. This is one of the best weekends of the year for the club, with the Plymouth club doing well in the previous years’ competitions. Not just for pro surfers however, this is a great opportunity for those new to surfing and or the surf club to come along and support the team, whilst also getting in the water themselves!
We then hold at least termly surf trips to spots in Cornwall and Devon, and have plans in the pipeline for a summer trip (keep your eyes peeled for the announcement for that later in the year).
