UPLRFC is a student run Rugby Union team. We welcome players of all abiliities to come and join us on great socials and partake in competitive womens rugby! We offer opportunities to get fit, meet new people, develop rugby skills and to ease yourself into the game.
We train on Monday Evenings, 6.30 - 8.30 at Plymstock Albion Oaks and have our BUCS matches on Wednesdays.
Please feel free to contact us or turn up to our stand at the Fresher Fair to say hi!
We have weekly socials on Wednesday nights. The socials are run by our two Social Secs who come up with a new theme each week! Socials are a great way for the team to bond and chill off the pitch. We also have sober socials which include: bowling, paintballing, beach days and many more!
We hold charity events to raise money for the team along with chosen charities, these include: a 12 hour run row cycle, sponsored walks, bake sales and many more. We currently have one team that competes in the BUCS Western 2A league and friendly matches are also organised to ensure all players have match time throughout the year. A key event to remember is Varsity, arguably the most important event of the year, where a selected 22 players from UPLRFC go up against local rivals University of Mark and St John (AKA Marjons).
