Windriders

In Plymouth, we are lucky to be close to some great kitesurfing, windsurfing and wakeboarding spots. There is no better way to have fun with these watersports! Reach out if you want to attend a taster session to try them out or join in at one of our socials! All are welcome, whether you are a pro shredder, wanting to learn or just join for the social side! Wingers or any other water/ wind sports are welcome too:) 

Socials

We run socials with great themes that will find you on nights out around Plymouth with other societies too. We will also be running a couple of chilled out socials, like evenings at the hoe chilling, skating and having BBQs. We try to run weekly morning swims on Wednesdays and morning yoga sessions too. 

Kitesurfing 

If you want to get up and riding, we have organised an insane £30 lesson deal at bigbury beach with kit included for you guys! Sessions will be done in groups of 4 and will be 2hrs long. This is a great way to get into the sport while having fun and meeting other members! 

For those who are already shredders, we will attend inter-uni events, organise sessions when the wind's up and have a good time kiting!

Windsurfing

There are so many ways to get involved with windsurfing, from our beginner lessons run at Mount Battern to instructing! As the society have our own equipment sessions can be as cheap as £5. Intermediate and advanced sessions will be run when the wind's properly up! We aim to compete at SWA events too :)

Wakeboarding

We will be running wakeboarding sessions hopefully every week at North Devon Wake Park in the warmer months (end of March to mid November). As a member of the society you get a great discount on your sessions. Wakeboarding can be a great social event that we encourage everyone to participate in no matter your ability :) 

Trips

We organise trips to around Cornwall and stay at campsites or hostels, kiting, windsurfing, skating, wakeboarding or surfing for the day and having BBQ's and drinks in the evenings. We also do events and weekenders with other university Windrider clubs!
