The Women in Surgery Society (WINS) is a dynamic, forward-thinking community dedicated to uplifting, inspiring, and empowering women to thrive in the surgical profession.

Only 1 in 5 consultant surgeons in the UK are women, and in some specialities, that drops to 1 in 10. We exist to advocate for gender equality in surgery and dismantle outdated stereotypes, while providing a strong network of female surgeons, mentors, and allies to guide aspiring and established professionals.

From casual socials to full-scale conferences, our events are all about fostering community, helping you network, and building your portfolio for a career in surgery. We're proud to be affiliated with WINSSA, connecting you to a wider national network of women in surgery.
