About the Society
We are a welcoming and inclusive space for anyone with an interest in DJing, music production, and electronic music. Whether you are a complete beginner who has never touched a set of decks before, an experienced DJ looking to develop your skills, or a producer wanting to connect with other musicians, everyone is welcome.
Our aim is to bring together like-minded students who share a passion for electronic music, creating a community where people can learn, collaborate, experiment and grow together. We want to make DJing and music production accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or ability.
Throughout the year, we will run Learn to DJ sessions designed specifically for beginners, covering everything from the basics of using decks and mixing tracks to more advanced techniques as members develop their confidence. These sessions will provide a relaxed environment where you can learn at your own pace, ask questions and practise alongside other members.
For those looking to take their skills beyond the bedroom, the society will also provide opportunities to gain real-world experience performing in front of live audiences. We aim to organise DJ nights, events and collaborations with local venues, giving members the chance to get involved, perform and build confidence behind the decks.
Alongside DJing, we want to encourage the wider electronic music community, including music production, live performance, event organisation and collaboration. Whether you're into Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Garage, Dubstep, Trance or any other style of electronic music, there is a place for you here.
