What is UPLD?
We are the University of Plymouth's Life Drawing Society. We run two sessions a week, focusing on different styles of art on Wednesdays (16:30 - 18:00) with our themed sessions, and on Fridays (18:00 - 19:30), we sit and relax with a non-guided session for those who just want to draw. Within the session we have models either nude or fully clothed, depending on the session and their comfort level, so privacy and respect are our top priorities.
Privacy, Respect, and You
At the University of Plymouth Life Drawing Society, we take privacy and respect seriously. Creating a safe and comfortable environment is our top priority. If you're curious about the finer details and our commitment to privacy, head over to the "More" section on our page. Scroll down to find our disclosure forms for participants. These forms outline what's expected of both members and models, ensuring that everyone's experience is enjoyable and respectful.
SocialsWithin the society we plan both drinking and sober socials such as pumpkin carving, casino nights (no real money involved) and themed dress up nights such as British icons, Mario night, and Bob Ross and his paintings. We also tend to go for a drink in the SU after our Life drawing sessions to get to know each other more!
EventsAs well as our socials we plan events and trips during the year such as the Gameboard cafe, Exeter cathedral and going to museums! We also host a Christmas party at the end of the first term.
