Plymouth Architecture Society

About 

PARCS is the student-led architecture society. Our aim is to run weekly events to widen student knowledge and bring energy and a sense of community to the studios! Throughout the year we will deliver an exciting guest lecture series, a variety of socials, and host our Winter and Summer Balls. PARCS also offers its members to join the society's own football and netball team. We offer students the chance to meet architects, theorists, engineers, directors and many more industry professionals, whilst strengthening the connection between students and staff. We are an established community with positive recognition not only across the campus but nationally. We welcome anyone to join and take advantage of the wonderful things PARCS has to offer!

Socials & Events

We host regular socials where the aim is to allow students to enjoy some downtime from the studio whether that be a wild fancy dress social or a chilled movie night! We emphasise the importance of a healthy work life balance, not only through our socials, but with the opportunity for students become part of our sports teams. Throughout the year we also invite architects, theorists, directors, writers and engineers to talk about their projects, agendas, and interests. This aims to further broaden students’ knowledge and skills outside of timetabled lectures and workshops.
