Musical Theatre Group is a student led society that has been running for 32 years, since 1992. Working alongside our Plymouth University members we have enthusiastic volunteers and talented professionals.  Every academic year we aim to put on at least one show, whether that’s a musical or a showcase, or both!  We also put on a cabaret in the summer term every year and put on fundraisers and small events to keep our wonderful society going.

If you’re passionate about musical theatre or the theatre in general, but don’t feel particularly confident in your skills, or you wish to increase your skill level, not to worry!  Our society is all about learning new skills, having new experiences and creating an enjoyable environment that you can come to and relax in alongside your degree.
 

Rehearsals and meet ups are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7pm-10pm, and Sunday 1pm-6pm. If you would like to know more about what we get up to in our sessions, feel free to contact us on any of our social medias or on our email.
 

We have one type of membership so that if you decide to perform or not at the beginning of the year, you can always change your mind.  Performers are the people that will get an opportunity to sing, dance, act on stage.  Crew Members aren’t just the backstage crew or the Techs! Crew Membership includes: stage management and crew, sound, lighting, costume, make up, props, etc…!  If you want to learn or improve some skills, whether you’ve done it for years or never before, we’ve got you covered!
