E-Sports Society

We are the University of Plymouth E-Sports Society. We hope to create a community for students who enjoy games, esports, and everything in between. Whether you’re brand new, casually competitive, or interested in being a part of our E-sports teams, you’ll meet people with similar interests.

If you want to represent the university, we compete against other universities under the Plymouth Leviathans banner across multiple esports titles.  We currently have E-sport teams in League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Valorant, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Dead by Daylight. We’re also open to expanding into other games if there’s interest and online tournaments available to join.

However, our society isn’t only about competition. We host for fun customs online, as well as socials such as pub and club nights. We host events too like bowling and quizzes throughout the year. Around Easter time, we host a two day charity stream covering all sorts of games with our game reps and committee working together. Funding will go to a charity voted by the society and if milestones are met, some members may get forfeits for example, doing the ice water bucket challenge or our chair shaving their heads bald.

Most of our day-to-day conversations happen on our Discord server. To compete for the university and to take part in society events (online and in person), you will need to purchase a society membership. If you do join the society as a member, please send your full name and student number to a committee member once you join the discord.
