students' union awards

Are you a student interested in Acute Care, Emergency Medicine, or Anaesthetics? If so, this society is for you!

Now open to students from ALL courses, ACAS gives students opportunities and teaching in these specific areas of medicine.

Plymouth Acute Care and Anaesthetics Society is an academic society which aims to provide more opportunities for students interested in acute care, emergency medicine and anaesthetics.

We run placements in both the emergency and anaesthetics departments at Derriford Hospital for students to get additional exposure to these environments.

Throughout the year we will be running workshops by qualified professionals as well as students with interests in acute care and anaesthetics. Our committee members also work with Bristol and Exeter medical students to organise the SWACC conference each year for students in the southwest to explore their interests further.

We welcome all year groups, so don’t hesitate to ask our committee members any questions you may have, additionally message our Instagram or Facebook page. We look forward to having new students on board each year so if you are interested, please purchase a membership and join our social media pages for more updates.
