We share the profound sadness of the nation, the Commonwealth and the wider world following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. We send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family.
Out of respect, and in close communication with the University of Plymouth, we have rescheduled some events initially planned for Freshers’ Week 2022 to commemorate the passing and Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.
As a result of the Bank Holiday to mark the State Funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II on Monday 19th September, all events planned on that day have either been postponed, rescheduled or cancelled. We recognise that this time of year is important to our new and returning students as a time to come together, socialise with new flatmates and meet new people to help build our Plymouth community. As a result, we will still be opening the SU building on Monday 19th September between 9am - 6pm. We will be showing the televised State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen. Food and drink will be available inside the SU after the service.
There will be changes to the following events, if you have purchased tickets for these events your tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date.
We will be updating this page throughout the run-up to Freshers’ Week.

The World Music Stage and Silent Disco will still take place on Friday 16th September but will now be held in the SU instead of the Main Hall
