homepagesabb2021

After a year like no other, it is time for us to say goodbye to the 2020/21 Sabbatical Officer Team and welcome in the new team for the 2021/22 year

Working in an Officer role representing thousands of students isn't always easy but when you add in a global pandemic, where we have been based at home for the whole year, this becomes even more challenging. This year the team have strengthened the voice of students at the University and have championed students' rights to the best possible education. The team have achieved so much over the past year despite the challenges.

Vice President of Activities, Verity Lemm is leaving the SU after two years as an Officer:

" UPSU has helped me grow into a person I never thought I’d become. I can’t thank all the staff enough for guiding me and supporting me over the past two years.  The SU has really been my family and I am going to miss everyone so much.

Thank you to all the students who voted for me and believed in me. I am so proud of every single student for your determination and resilience during the pandemic, and I hope your future is bright and successful.”

- Verity Lemm, VP Sport 2019/2020, VP Activities 2020/2021

President, Chukwudi Kosi Ezenyi will be moving on after two years as an Officer:

"It’s been an honour and privilege to serve and represent the University of Plymouth students over the last two years. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the students for voting and believing in me.

Massive appreciations to the UPSU staff body who have being very supportive to me during my terms. It is your guidance that has resulted in sabbatical team successes over the past two years (especially in a COVID year)! What knowledge and skills we’ve learned. I will always have UPSU at heart.

Most of all, all thanks and glory to God my creator for the gift of life and every good thing.”

- Chukwudi Kosi Ezenyi (KC), VP Activities & Development 2019/2020, President 2020/2021
