During the pandemic, the opportunity to engage digitally meant that students were able to continue their scheduled teaching. Even once in-person lectures resumed, the continuation of Zoom access meant that students who could not attend in person, for a variety of reasons, were able to keep up to date with their learning and were able to feel part of their academic community.
Your VP Education, Tonari Arikekpar and elected School Reps have been receiving feedback from students about university plans to stop digital streaming of lectures to the wider student body. As your students’ union, we are collecting feedback from you about this matter to present to the relevant university staff and committees.
