IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE MINIMUM WAGE FROM 1 APRIL 2024:

There have been some significant changes to the minimum wage and also to the age eligibility criteria.

The minimum wage rates from 1 April 2024 are:

This means that anyone aged 21 and over now receives the higher minimum wage rate of £11.44 per hour.

Some employers may not realise these changes so it is important to check your payslip to ensure you are receiving the correct rate of pay.

If you believe you are not being paid the correct amount, we suggest you speak to your employer or, preferably, send them an email or letter.  Any underpayment should be backdated to 1 April 2024.
