Black History Month Competition: Inspirational Black Person

For BHM 2021, we are launching an Inspirational Black Person competition. All students and staff are invited to submit a piece on an inspirational black person from any field that has inspired them in any way. This competition is to celebrate and honour the achievements of black people such as Kamala Harris, Diane Abbott, and Lewis Hamilton and many more!

Deadline for Entries: 25th October 2021

 


 

How to enter:

  • To enter this competition, you have to write about 200 words on someone you think is inspirational – on a word doc. You can include photos
  • The text itself can be either factual or emotive, but it must say why this Black person is inspirational to you and others.

Your work will be published! – On the UPSU platforms

You will be interviewed by Plymouth Herald for a BHM feature
