A statement following the events in Plymouth on 12th August 2021

homepage

Yesterday was an incredibly sad day for our city.

We, like many of you, have been following the news for any updates to emerge from the critical incident which took place in Keyham over the course of last night. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families, friends and loved ones.

Plymouth is an amazing city. Its close-knit communities make it the city that it is and we know that many of our members and staff members will be in shock at the awful series of events that have happened in the place that they call home.

As we come to terms with the events and long-lasting impacts of last night’s attack, we’d like to reiterate the calls from the Devon & Cornwall Police to refrain from speculating or sharing content from the scene on social media or anywhere else.

As a community, we are grieving.
