The University of Plymouth Law Society (UPLS) hosted a Christmas Ball to celebrate the festive season and end the year with all the UPSL members. The event was organised by UPLS' secretary and careers officer Claire von Hoesslin and UPLS' activities and events officers Gracie Coleman and Jasmine Tottel-Clarke.

"With over 60 students and their partners attending our Christmas Ball, which took place at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel, the evening proved to be a great success. Guests were able to partake in a scrumptious 3-course meal including Roast Turkey or Feta, Mushroom and Leek Wellington and Christmas pudding.

Lecturers and professionals attended to encourage networking and inclusivity between students and practitioners. A glass was raised for the event organisers; Gracie Coleman and Jasmine Tottel-Clarke, with decorations and admin by Claire von Hoesslin. The place settings of the tables were made from individual baubles, that the students were able to take home as memorabilia.

With soft music in the background, the dancefloor proved popular as well-dressed students and practitioners danced the evening away and the football was on for everyone's enjoyment (we had to show our support for England). The evening was full of laughter, the popping of crackers and clinking of forks as guests tucked into their Christmas meal. Following the dinner, students were encouraged to join the organisers at Revolutions, to enjoy some prosecco and revelry."
