ONLY £3! Aiki-taiso (Harmony Exercise) is a wellness practice, developed from the Japanese Martial Art of Aikido, with a pure focus on the principles and ideals of mind/body balance and harmony.

Day: Monday

Time: 5-6pm

Location: Babbage 319

Price: £3

You can be in any clothing or footwear to do this activity.

‘It was designed for those who wish to realize the health and wellbeing benefits but are not drawn to the traditional martial way. It consists of principles and practices that develop “inner balance” through movement, together with breath and meditation practices, akin to yoga or tai-chi. It is suitable for all levels of fitness and experience and, as an on-going practice, people are welcome to join at any point in the year and come to one class or as often as they wish. Wear loose clothing that is easy to move in, and come along to learn a new way of using mind and body together to reduce stress and improve health in your daily life. These classes are taught by Prof. Kevin Jones, President of  Aikido Shugenkai, an international charitable organization teaching Aikido practices.’
