South West Gender Equality Summit - Hosted by Plymouth University Feminist Society

18th April 2015, 9 am - 4.30pm.

PU Feminist Society have organised a one day event to bring together students and non-students with an interest in Gender Equality from throughout the South West. The day will begin with a panel of politicians discussing engaging women as voters and leaders. Throughout the day there will be a range of talks and workshops available to choose from, including: Campaigning effectively, sexualisation of women in comic books, feminism 101 and a discussion of different legal models regarding sex work. We will also have talks from Susuana Antubam from NUS Women’s Campaign, who will be discussing NUS findings and the I <3 Consent initiative, and Rich Skipper from UPSU who will be introducing the ‘Know the Line’ campaign.This event aims to be inclusive of all and is open to all gender identities, as well as students and non-students.
