As part of Discovery week you will be visiting a Moor Trees planting Nursery!

You will be transported by minubus to one of the local Moor Tree's nurseries. Here you will be checking the local biodiversity as well as observing the current tree growth from previous year's tree planting efforts. 

Moor Trees build biodiversity by working with local people. Every year they work with hundreds of volunteers of all ages and abilities. They want to bring to life the story of how people and communities connected with the historical woodland, and enable them to re-engage with trees and natural environments.

Weather appropriate clothing and suitable shoes will be needed during your trip. As this is a full day trip you will need to make sure that you have enough food and water for the day. 

You will meet at the universitry and a minibus will pick up volunteers and transport you to the nursery site. Volunteers will also be dropped back to campus ast the end of the day this will be approximately 5pm. Please purchase your free ticket to book your space!
