Explore historic Mt Edgecombe

As a part of Discovery Weeks you can explore the historic estate of Mt Edgecombe.  

Mount Edgcumbe House is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres Country Park on the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall. Come and explore, enjoy, learn its history or just chill out in these beautiful surroundings, look back towards Plymouth. 


Geen Man weekend is also in full swing on the day! - 

This year is the 9th annual Green Man event here at the park and will be a fantastic mix of entertainment provided by local bands circus acts, morris dancers, re-enactment groups and much more to keep you entertained.

Once again traditional family activities will be running throughout the event along with food and craft stalls. Wood turning crafts in the Barrow Centre, bouncy castles, a beer tent, and the obligatory hog roast.  Lots of fun for visitors of all ages!

 

  • Meet on the SU roof at 8:45am to walk over to the barbican to get the 9:30 ferry to Mount Edgecombe.
  • Once you arrive at mount edgecombe you are free to explore the area at your own leisure! 
  • Please then meet back at the mount edgecombe landing stage at 15:45 to get the 16:15 ferrry back to the Barbican! 

 

Your ticket for this event will cover your Ferry ticket to and from Mount Edgecombe but only if you travel with the group at the specifed times above.
