Join us either by yourself, or in small groups, and get to know some new people.
It’s been a tricky 18 months, and really hard to meet up with people in person and make new friends. So we’re putting on some friendly virtual mate meets for all new starters to give you the chance to get to know some new people in a fun and relaxed environment.
You’ll be sent a link to join a Zoom call, and once you’re in there, you’ll be greeted by a friendly host who will split you up into small groups of around 5 people for 20 minutes at a time, up to 4 times. You’ll be given a fun task to do such as a quiz or creative task which you can complete together while getting to know each other. You can exchange contact details to keep your conversations going with them afterwards, and arrange another time to meet.

Please be aware that some of the University of Plymouth Students’ Union events may be attended by UPSU approved photographers and videographers, for capturing content to be used in UPSU and University online and offline marketing and promotional materials,
for example webpages, social media or flyers. If for whatever reason, you or a member of your group, do not wish to be photographed, please make yourself known to staff working at the event on arrival or to the photographer.
