Hello I'm Abi Rivers, currently 2nd year studying International Tourism Management.
I would love to be your voice within the School of Tourism and Hospitality and make sure thaat your opinion is heard and heard clearly.
As a course rep I have learnt the role of listening to my peers, taking forward what matters to the relevant meetings and lecturers and watching changes be put in place.
Yes I have my own ideas of what I want to change but that doesn't matter. What does matter is all your ideas put together. Let me help you get your voice heard and change your university experience for the better. One idea I do have is that I want both the tourism and hospitality societies to get together to have joint socials and events so that our courses and students integrate more with each other earlier on in our University life.
I am currently a student represenative for the TMI (Toursim management institute) and am helping student members of TMI across the country get their say on what they wish to gain from TMI. I hope to use my transferable skills from this role to help bring across what you want and work in conjunction with everyone together to find the best possible solution.
