Candidate for the position of School of Humanities & Performing Arts Representative

DANIELLE NOBLE-DEVENNEY

Having only been elected school rep for humanities and performing arts in late November, I feel that carrying on the role into my third year would allow the school's staff and course reps to have a sense of continuity. Plus, there are lots of things I'd still like to do!

Before the end of this term, I will set up a noticeboard outside our school office in 4 Portland Villas, with all my contact details, a newsletter, a suggestion box, and any other updates that are relevant to our students.

At our last meeting, our teaching staff said they would like to see a bigger sense of community within courses in the school. To do this, I will closely liase with the course reps, as well as the societies that run outside of the school (for example, our lovely LitSoc!) and use my skills as the university volleyball club's newly-elected social sec to organise events by the end of the year, ready to market to the freshers in September.

I'm an organised, friendly, enthusiastic person who has formed strong relationships with staff and students, as well as the SU over the last few months. So, if you want someone who'll reply to an email at any hour of the day, who will confidently communicate your queries to the right people, and will bring the school closer together, vote for me!
