What motivated you to run for a Sabbatical Officer role and why do you think you would be a good Sabbatical Officer?

As a young man who loves to serve and having seen and also experienced the challenges of being a student, I would love to do everything I can to make the journey easier for all students. My genuine passion is service and I bring with me a wealth of experience in representation, leadership, communication, problem solving, teamwork, compassion, prioritizing time and maximizing resources. Running as President would be a platform to enhance students university experience through effective advocacy.

Why is the Sabbatical Officer role important

For equal representation and support of our diverse student body, for effective advocacy for students and for effective leadership of the student’s union.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Compassionate, Cheerful, Honest.

If you could change one thing about the University, what would that be?

Increased collaboration with the Student Union to make sure that students from diverse backgrounds have an optimal study experience by addressing pertinent issues such as student feedback and satisfaction, accommodation and mental health support.

If you could change one thing about the Students' Union, what would it be? 

Increased publicity of the various ways students can access help in the university and also making it more inclusive to our growing diverse community.

Who do you draw most inspiration from and why?

My Parents: They raised me to be confident, to always be helpful to people no matter how little, and they gave me the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them.

What is your proudest moment so far and why?

Everyone I have put a smile on their face has been my proudest moment. I genuinely love seeing people around me happy.
