What motivated you to run for a Sabbatical Officer role and why do you think you would be a good Sabbatical Officer

My motivation to run for the role of a sabbatical officer is deeply rooted in my personal experience as a student navigating the challenges of university life. Arriving late, I missed out on crucial orientation events and found myself wandering aimlessly, unable to distinguish one building from another. This realization sparked a fire within me to advocate for change. I firmly believe that no student should feel lost or alone during their university journey.

Why is the Sabbatical Officer role important

The sabbatical officer role is crucial for representing student interests, fostering campus community, and influencing university policies. They bridge the gap between students and administration, organizing events, providing support services, and advocating for student needs, ultimately enhancing the overall student experience.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

Reliable, Potent and Radiant

If you could change one thing about the University, what would that be?

If I could change something about the school, I would advocate for integrating the cultural festival to celebrate diversity collectively rather than hosting separate events like "Indian Night" and "Nigerian Night." By uniting different cultural showcases into one inclusive event, it would promote greater understanding, appreciation, and collaboration among students from various backgrounds.

If you could change one thing about the Students' Union, what would it be?

1. Diverse Representation: Ensure diverse representation within the student union to accurately reflect the student body's demographics, including different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. 2. Accessibility and Transparency: Improve accessibility to the student union by providing clear communication channels, transparent decision-making processes, and opportunities for student input and feedback.

Who do you draw most inspiration from and why?

For me, it's my grandfather. Because he embodies kindness and possesses a strong sense of justice.

What is your proudest moment so far and why?

My proudest moments occur when I conquer challenges, succeed in competitions, and earn medals. Winning isn't just about the thrill of victory; it's about surpassing obstacles and achieving personal growth.
