Having served you as VP for a year, if elected as President, you can count on me to keep every promise. I fulfilled all my promises as VP & I will fulfil my promises if elected.
I am Hadiza & I am running to be your President.
My Promises:
Inclusivity: I will launch a Proud to be Plymouth campaign which will celebrate & empower various student groups, reflect the diversity we have in our community & make the university experience more inclusive & accessible, right from first year to graduation.
Democracy: I will ensure national campaigns remain a priority for the Union, including around sustainability & mental health. I’ll strengthen the democratic process ensuring your elected representatives are held to account. I’ll create Have your say sessions which will make Union Council more accessible and give all students the opportunity to participate.
Executive accountability:I will ensure students are aware they can hold the University to account through asking questions and getting answers. I’ll introduce Question Time events & road shows as Increased communication leads to Increased transparency.
Sustainability: I will ensure conversations around sustainability occur so issues that are important to students can be raised & compromises can be reached without affecting the student experience
