Plymouth University Table Tennis Club offers a great way play sport whilst allowing you to make friends in a relaxed sociable environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a seasoned league veteran or simply your family’s back garden champion, PUTTC is the sports club for you! We accommodate for all standards and commitment levels. If you simply want a knock around with your friends or fancy some basic coaching, our friendly committee members will be more than willing to help.

We are one of the cheapest sports societies with a joining fee of £15 for the year, with all sessions included in this price. This fee is on top of the £15 UPSU sports subscription fee. This includes two weekly sessions; Monday 8-10 pm, Friday 8-10 pm. All of our sessions take place in Nancy Astor Sports Centre.

Throughout the year the club organises social events. These vary from relaxed social gatherings such as meals out and bowling to table tennis themed nights out for you ping pong partiers out there! Nights out include events such as beer pong!!

For those who would like to play more competitively we compete in a local Plymouth District Table Tennis league as well as entering a squad annually into the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) championships in Nottingham. Other competitions such as Bath GP, we have entered several people from the club and had a weekend away playing together.

If you’re looking for more relaxed competition we also run intra-club tournaments throughout the year. This includes handicapped singles and doubles tournaments with prizes for the winners!
