What is JKD?

JKD or Jeet Kune Do (Way of the Intercepting Fist) is a system that was developed in the late 1960's by Bruce Lee.
He looked into different fighting styles such as Western Boxing, Wing Chun, and Filipino martial arts, took different aspects from each, and eventually, they evolved into a useable, practical and effective framework of their own.
The main aspects we train are Jun Fan Kickboxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu and Filipino Martial Arts (Primarily the Cacoy Doce Pares system).
As JKD is technically a theory, it is a fantastic way to find your own as a martial artist, not only training you to be a well-rounded artist, but also introducing you to different systems, which allows you to find what you really enjoy and proceed down that path.
JKD is the martial art where you do everything you can, but only take away that which you find useful to you.
