Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
" The Khalsa belongs to Waheguru (God), and all victory belongs to Waheguru (God)! "
Welcome to the University of Plymouth Sikh Society! A community open to all students who are eager to explore and engage with the teachings of Sikhi, learning to live within the divine will.
Throughout the year we will be exploring Sikh history and philosophy, strengthening our spirituality and overall cultivating a deeper connection to core Sikh values such as equality, humility, justice, and selfless service.
In 2023 we held the first-ever Langar on campus in Plymouth (an event serving free food), which was a tremendous success, feeding 300 people! In the following year we fed over 400 people! and subsequently received the EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) award of the year from the student union.
We are excited to continue this act of seva (selfless service) as part of our regular events, which include group discussions, kirtan sessions, Vaisakhi celebrations and monthly divans. We also hold other social events such as sports meetups, arcade night and cinema trips. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Sikh Society!
No matter your background or experience, we welcome you to join us on this journey of learning, service, and community!
