The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Europe, founded in 1989 for supporting and developing student exchange. Spread over all Europe and with its main office in Brussels, Belgium.
Within Plymouth the ESN section represents over 400 exchange students, both incoming and outgoing from across the network. We are an apolitical and unbiased organisation within UPSU and work closely with the University International Office to promote student mobility and exchange in all its forms. With over 200 active members we hold weekly events to meet and greet with other students from across the world (we are not limited soley to the EU), regular activies like bowling, ice skating, surfing, go karting and of course parties, and regular trips around the South West to explore our beautiful region and all it's amazing towns and cities. Along with ESN UK we will be going to Edinburgh in November and Amsterdam in March with over 900 other ESN students from across the UK. We aim to help you make the most of your tenure in Plymouth and experience all the good that Plymouth, Devon and ESN has to offer.
Besides a social aspect we provide academic and personal support to visiting and departing exchange students from within the EU, and can help with any issues you may have with any matter of University life in a foreign country. The entire committe have done time studying or working abroad and understand the complexities that come with it. We're in the same boat, so come to us and we will do our best to help.
We hope to see you soon!
