Each month there will be a Student AND Student Group of the month. This is over both sports clubs and activities (Societies and Volunteering).
The nominations will be sent to your VP Activities, who will look through them and decide a winner for each category. The winners will be given a prize and shout-outs on UPSU’s social media.
This is a great opportunity to give support and appreciation to those that may not otherwise get any appreciation. It also allows those student groups that do amazing things for the community, to be recognised for this.
And finally, for us as a Student Union, to show our thanks and appreciation for all the incredible things we know you do.
Student of the month: Caitlin McAndry
Caitlin was nominated based on the support she gives to members of the Choir Society. She has been able to teach the true power of music to those going through a hard time. Well done, Caitlin!
A reminder that the SU and the University have support available for anyone who needs it:
· SpeakUp Tool - report abuse, harm or hate - University of Plymouth
· SU Advice Team - Students' Union
· Student Hub - Student Wellbeing Services - University of Plymouth

Student Group of the month: Plymouth Night Patrol
Plymouth Night Patrol were nominated based on the huge part they play in keeping students safe in Plymouth. They work tirelessly through the night to make sure we, as a student body, get home safe. They are very worthy winners and I hope we can support them to keep up the brilliant work!
Well done, Plymouth Night Patrol. Check out their Instagram to see some of the amazing work they do: @plymouthnightpatrol
Remember, you can nominate yourself and/or your student group. Make sure you are getting the recognition you deserve!
