VP Activities Update: BUCS IS BACK!

For over 100 years British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) has been at the forefront of university sport in the United Kingdom.

Our mission is simple - create the best university sport experience in the world. 

BUCS works with its member institutions to get more students active more often, through traditional competitive sport and providing physical activity opportunities.

BUCS is a world-class Higher Education sport and physical activity experience, creating the most engaged university communities in the world.

12 teams played their first BUCS fixture in over a year on Wednesday. Hockey(W), Tennis, Football(M), Rugby(M) and Netball were amongst the teams that got to play. 

Results: 

I know there is a lot of people that will be disappointed with their results, but it is important to remember that it has been a long time since we’ve played and fitness may not be where it should be.

You should be proud of yourselves – we don’t have the resources of other Unis, many of your captain’s double as a coach, our sports department is small but mighty and recruitment of your players is completely student-led

Keep your heads up and sooner or later we’ll be bringing home the Ws for Plymouth. Well done to everyone who played! Let’s get them next week!!
