"WE ARE delighted to be visiting Plymouth on Sunday 20 February 2022 at the wonderful University of Plymouth Students' Union for our next pop-up second life fashion event.
Students can get FREE tickets and then find high-quality pre-loved fashion for men and women, perfect for those who love to hunt out big brands at great prices.
Fashion Editor Melanie Trevett recently praised our event by saying:
“A fantastic pop-up fashion company rethinking the resale vintage fashion market! Top brands at amazing prices – don’t miss your chance for a sustainable fashion bargain near you!”
‘What can I get for a Kilo?’ We hear you say! Well, the easiest way is to think of a bag of sugar. As a guide, you might be able to get any combo of the following…
Jeans and a t-shirt
A dress and a polo
Some of our items are high-end designer or specially upcycled, so these are priced individually. Check out the signs at the event which will tell you which sections these are in.
?Buying pre-loved fashion not only helps save the planet, but it also gives you big brands for fair prices.
"I found an incredible vintage Betty Barclay dress, cost me £17 when weighed and I'm very happy with it - definitely give these sales a go!"
- Annabel Kerman, Fashion Editor and Stylist
Buying preloved + designer item + saving cash = massive win + saving the planet.
Amazing designer brands for less, finding your forever piece, and doing your bit to help reduce the fashion carbon footprint? What’s not to love?
But just in case…
10,000 garments go to landfill every 5 minutes
85% of all clothing ends up in landfill every year - it can be in the ground for up to 200 years.
Buying pre-loved fashion not only helps save the planet, but it also gives you big brands for fair prices.
95% of clothing can be recycled or upcycled
By extending the life of a garment by only 9 months it reduces its carbon, water, and our waste footprint by around 20-30%. That’s why we want to rethink and change how we shop our clothing.
If everyone bought just 1 item of clothing second hand instead of new this year, it would save:
204 million kilos of clothing waste
113 billion litres of water
5.7 billion lbs of CO2 emissions
We are doing our bit for the planet.
We are striving for change.
We are looking fabulous in preloved designer clothing.
We are the fashion revolution.
we are second life fashion."
