The University of Plymouth Students’ Union (UPSU) have been shortlisted for a Plymouth Herald Business Award 2016. The Students’ Union is in the running for the Large Business of the Year Award alongside Barclays of Plymouth and City Bus. UPSU will be hoping to scoop the award at the awards ceremony at Plymouth Pavilions on the evening of Thursday, April 14.
The Herald Business Awards reflects a year of achievement by Plymouth's premier business companies and individuals. Last year’s winner of the Large Business award was Princess Yachts. After picking up the Best Overall Venue in the Best Bar None Award back in October 2015 UPSU is looking to continue the success within Plymouth.
Ruth Titmuss, President at UPSU 2015-16
“It is fantastic that UPSU has been nominated for the Herald Business Award. As an organisation UPSU always puts students first and is driven by what the students want and need which really helps us to be an innovative and pioneering organisation. UPSU is highly thought of by students who rank our student union as one of the Top 20 in the UK. We are thrilled to have this recognised by the local community too.’
Gina Connelly, Chief Executive at UPSU
