For most students in standard undergraduate programmes, your results will be released on the 24th of June (but this can vary depending on specific programme).

You can find guidance on publication dates on the Student Portal (login required) or speak to your faculty if you are unsure. You will be able to find you confirmed results on the DLE under the Tools and Resources tab.

We know that waiting to get your results can be a very tense time and it is perfectly normal to feel nervous in the lead up to getting your results.

Here are some top tips on getting through the next couple of weeks...

1. Try not to panic...

Easier said than done, but the results you get on won’t be changed by panicking. You've done the hard work and the results you get are now out of your control. So, give yourself a break and make time to do the things you love!

Need some distraction?

2. Talk about it!

If you're nervous about results - talk about it. Whether that's with friends or family, talking it through will help you put things in to perspective.

As your Students’ Union, we are here to support your wellbeing and provide you with practical advice when it comes to taking care of your mental health, as well as signpost you to support services provided by us, the University of Plymouth and externally if you need it.

You could also check out Student Space, led by Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity for support around waiting for results. You can find a range of resources, practical advice and more on their website.

3. Try and be prepared and manage your expectations.

Plan out the day so it feels less overwhelming. You should be able to check your results first thing on the 24th of June, so make sure you've got your log-in details to hand. Although we hope you are happy with your results, we recommend that you have a plan of action if the results are not as you hoped...

  • Make sure you understand your results

We cannot stress how important it is for you to not only look over your transcript of results but also click on any links that are included and read any accompanying information. You may find you need to undertake referred work or repeat a year of study. If you are confused about what any of it means, please get in touch and we will be happy to offer guidance.

  • Making an appeal

If the results are not what you thought and you think there has been a mistake, you may wish to make an appeal. All students have the right to submit an academic appeal. You will have 10 working days from publication of results in which to do this, so it’s important that you act promptly! You can read the SU Advice appeals guidance here.

If you want further guidance on appeals, please get in touch with SU advice as soon as you receive your published results. The best way to contact us is via our online enquiry form, attaching a copy of your transcript.

  • Finding emotional support

If the results are not as you hoped, remember that emotional support is available through Student Minds and other mental health support services that you can contact if you feel you need to talk to someone. Remember, there is no shame in reaching out for support. As a University of Plymouth student, you have access to a wide range of services dedicated to supporting you during your time with us.
