Student Volunteering Week 2023 runs from Monday 6th - Sunday 12th February 2023. This week-long event celebrates student volunteering and its impact on wellbeing, improving employability and the contribution it makes to communities.
Over the course of the week there are lots of opportunities to find out more about volunteering and the benefits that you can not only bring to others but also to yourself.
Drop-In Sessions:
In collaboration with the Students' Union, the University of Plymouth Careers Service has organised a range of drop-in sessions where you can meet local volunteering providers and find out about the opportunities available. All of these will take place in the foyer of the Charles Seale-Hayne Library.
Workshops:
Taking part in volunteering and getting involved in projects is a great way to build your CV, try new experiences and gain new skills. Knowing how to communicate the skills you've developed through volunteering and helping others is vital. The University of Plymouth Careers Service have organised a series of workshops on completing applications, writing your CV, LinkedIn and being preparing for interviews.
Volunteering Opportunities:
Try out a new activity this Student Volunteering Week by coming along to a session, you don't need to have any prior experience and all current University of Plymouth students are welcome.
