This was the first year for Dodgeball (Plymouth Krakens) being a part of BUCS, after covid, our main focus was on rebuilding the team and club so we could come back stronger than ever. We exceeded expectations and not only did we manage to field one of our strongest ever teams this year but we also managed to top the league and qualify for finals day.

We had 8 fixtures in the league, 6 of which we won and 2 we lost. The other teams in the league were Winchester, Southampton 1s+2nds and Exeter.

Before the last fixture, we were in 3rd place due to set difference, we came into the last fixture hoping to secure a higher position in the table.

Winchester was first and Southampton 1sts were second, we played our first game against Southampton 1st Team and won very convincingly 15-9. Southampton 1sts then played Winchester and won meaning we could get into first place as long as we beat Southampton 2nds convincingly.

We then went on to play them winning 36-0!

A big shout out to all the team is deserved, the team has worked incredibly hard this year to get where it is and has now qualified for BUCS finals day. This has been an incredibly hard year after rebuilding from Covid but the club has achieved more than any of us thought it could at the beginning of the year.

We played the finals day on the 12th of March and came is as proud runners up in the final match of BUCS 2022 against Derby Men's 1st Team in a close 11-13 to Derby. Meaning we have secured promotion to the BUCS men's university dodgeball premier league!!
