Hello everyone, I’ve been asked to give a quick update on what I’ve been doing as SoGEES rep this year! Since I am aware these things can drag on a bit, I’ll try to keep my update short and sweet!
What we’ve achieved so far:
· This year in SoGEES we’ve been really successful in creating a core group of representatives who are always eager to help out, whether this be the deputy school reps, the programme reps or our fantastic course reps who are always willing to engage. As school rep this has been a great help in getting things done, as we now have an environment where reps can collaborate and support each other.
· The main thing that I’m really excited about doing this year has been the rep noticeboard, this is a notice board where students can see which rep represents their course. I’ve been given the greenlight to proceed and student should start to see these noticeboards popping up around Davy and PSQ in the new year.
What we will achieve by the end of this academic year:
· Have at least two rep posterboards up in public spaces for students and staff to see which rep represents which course.
· Increase representation throughout SoGEES.
· Promote interest in being the school rep for next year, ensuring that the good work done this year is built upon next year
