With the assessment period for the first semester taking place from the start of next week UPSU Advice service wanted to give some quick tips to make sure they go as smoothly as possible.
1. Make sure you know when and where your exams are taking place.
Some exams take place in venues off campus and you may not be familiar with where they are – do a practice run to the venue in advance so you know where it is and how long it takes to get there so that you can reduce stress. more info
2. Arrive in time!
You will not be permitted to enter if you are more than 30 minutes late more info. Don't forget that if you have an exam in the Pavilions you'll need to leave extra time to get there:
3. Do not take a mobile phone to your exam desk.
Make sure any mobile phone (including any smart watch or other device) is turned off/on silent and leave it in the designated area. If you are caught with your phone, you will face investigation under the Examination Offences procedure. more info
4. Amnesty Bin
Make sure you place any last minute revision notes in the Amnesty Bin at the exam venue.
5. Feeling a little unsure?
If you are unsure of something, check with the Invigilator before the exam begins. If you do get handed a notice by the Invigilator, come and speak to a Student Adviser in the Advice Centre.
