Do you ever find yourself bored and looking for stuff to do? Or, alternatively, do you need something to push you through and motivate you for impending exam season? Activities and Sports column editor Seren Kiremitcioglu tells SU:Media readers the top 3 events they should dig their teeth into this semester.

This year welcomes the birth (or, if you're into boats and puns, berth) of UPSU Sports' Watersport Festival. The fantastic watersports clubs at our university are teaming up to offer all students, staff, and members of the public (over the age of 10) a plethora of sporting activities, in collaboration with MGA and in partnership with Mount Batten Watersports Centre.

The festival will offer dinghy sailing, stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, gig rowing and yachting at extremely cheap prices. 'Not only will you be able to have a go at a new activity you will also be raising money for the brilliant Derriford Children's Cancer Service and the volunteer run watersports clubs.'

The event claims the following: 'There is no need to have any prior experience and all equipment, including wetsuits is provided. All you will need to bring is; something to wear beneath your wetsuits, a towel and some shoes that can get wet. If you are yacht sailing or gig rowing all you will need is; some shoes that can get wet and to dress according to the weather.

I would personally recommend the dinghy sailing and SUP - they're both incredibly fun activities, with laughs guaranteed for all! The link to this event is below. This is a fantastic fundraising opportunity that you should definitely grasp with both hands!

Let's face it - the Summer Ball is an annual event that Plymouth Uni students just should not miss. Those who do go have a great time, and those who don't live to regret it! So, instead of gaining some major FOMO, make sure you grab your ticket to the SU event of the year. The ball will take place on Saturday 3rd June 2017; the perfect date to catch anyone who may promptly be off on their summer holidays. The event promises that 'thousands of party goers will get together on campus for this unique, one night only mini festival featuring huge music arenas, top live acts, DJs, funfair and so much more.' Details are live now!

The campus colour dash is a fantastic opportunity for you to don your whites and get covered in a myriad of colour! The event is a fundraising campaign for Brain Tumour Research, and consists of you running across an obstacle course for 1.6 miles across campus whilst trying to dodge the coloured powder being launched at you. The event costs £10 and includes your very own white t shirt, which is collected at the event. All proceeds go to Brain Tumour Research. This is a great fundraising opportunity that's full of both fun and colour. Plus, the pictures are immense!
